Below is a selection of my work over the past ten years.
In February 2023, I gave a solo recital in the church I play at twice a week. Here, I showcased my love of improvising around classical pieces, such as this one.
In October 2021, through a selection of original, classical, and jazz pieces, I introduced my beloved piano, Blüthie, to the world.
with Olga Rykov, violin
with River Guard, tenor
with Bryan Lu, cello
The final recital of the first year of my Master’s in May 2019 was especially significant, as my second year recital was never held due to COVID-19. These three selections show a wide range of styles.
In 2014, I released “Onyx,” an EP of three original jazz compositions: my final project for my Bachelor of Music degree at Humber College. This piece, Lavender, is one my favourite pieces to play, and I particularly enjoy sharing it in different arrangements and performance contexts.
I have also enjoyed recording as a sideman with soloists and groups. This is from a modern jazz album released in 2016.
